A two-day, one-night seminar in Marrakech follows a precise shape: land on the morning of day one, work through an afternoon and the next morning, share one evening in between, fly home at the end of day two. It is the shortest format that justifies the trip, and it works because Marrakech is under four hours’ flight from most Western European capitals and the airport sits fifteen minutes from the city centre. Using our calculator, budget roughly €5,300 to €8,700 for twenty people in a 4-star hotel, or €265 to €437 per participant, and €9,900 to €16,100 for forty, flights excluded. Here is the hour-by-hour programme, the four budgets we ran, and the mistakes specific to a short seminar.

## Who is the two-day format for?

For a team with one clear objective and little time: [a sales year kick-off](https://saphyyrevents.fr/en/sales-kick-off-marrakech), a reorganisation to explain, a six-month plan to build, a team to bring together after a merger. Two days are enough for one plenary session, two workshops and a wrap-up. The format suits groups of ten to sixty. ## The programme, hour by hour

The schedule below assumes a morning flight, a hotel with its own meeting room, and a late-afternoon or evening return flight the next day. Times are Marrakech times: since 20 September 2026 Morocco has stayed on GMT all year round, so it is one hour behind Paris, Brussels or Madrid in winter and two hours behind in summer, and on London time in winter.

Three things hold this programme together. The first session starts before lunch: wait until the afternoon and you lose half a day. Rooms are not taken on arrival but in the late afternoon, which avoids wasting an hour at 10:30 and gives the hotel time to prepare the rooms. And day two ends with the wrap-up and lunch, not with a session: the airport transfer sets a hard stop nobody can overrun.

## Which flights keep the two days intact?

The whole format rests on two flights: an early-morning outbound and a late-afternoon or evening return. Marrakech-Menara has direct flights from most European capitals and many regional airports; schedules change every season, so check timings before you fix dates, and choose a non-stop flight, otherwise two days become a day and a half.

For a group of twenty to forty, the number of seats an airline will block on one flight is its decision, flight by flight. It is the first question for your travel agent, before you book the hotel. ## How much does a two-day, one-night seminar in Marrakech cost?

Each includes one night in single rooms, two working days (room, breaks, lunch), audio-visual (sound, projector, microphones, technician), one dinner, airport transfers and a 10% contingency. Flights, alcoholic drinks, tourist tax and agency fees are excluded.

Two readings. First, with a single night, accommodation drops to about a third of a 4-star budget: the working days, charged per person per day, dominate. Going from twenty to forty participants therefore shaves only a few dozen euros off the cost per head, because audio-visual is the only line that does not multiply. Second, the evening is what tips the budget: a simple dinner costs €25 to €45 per person in the model, while an evening in a private riad with a DJ adds the venue hire, €2,000 to €6,000, plus the entertainment. ## Riad, 4-star or 5-star for a single night?

For twenty people, the riad and the 4-star hotel cost almost the same in the model. The difference is in the work. A riad taken in full by the group gives it the whole house, a lounge opening onto the patio and dinner at home; but audio-visual is often limited, and you need one room per participant, which caps the format at about ten people in single rooms, twenty when sharing. The 4-star hotel is the simplest choice for forty people: an equipped meeting room, plenty of rooms, a restaurant on site, audio-visual included or charged by the day. A 5-star doubles the accommodation line without changing the programme: keep it for a seminar where the hotel is part of the message, a board meeting, a client event, a reward trip.

## Which evening between the two working days?

It is the only free moment of the trip, and it carries the whole team-building side of the seminar. Three options come up. Dinner in a private riad adds a place of your own, a rooftop, live music. An evening in the Agafay desert, under an hour’s drive away, is the most spectacular, but it needs shuttles and brings everyone back late before a working morning: on a two-day format we advise against it unless the next session starts at 10:30.

Whatever you choose, set an end time. In Marrakech amplified music generally stops between midnight and 1 am, and a decision session at 9:30 the next morning needs a rested group.

## The three mistakes of the short format

Over-programming. Two days means four sessions of one to two and a half hours, not six. If the agenda does not fit, you need another night, not longer sessions.

Forgetting transfer time. Allow an hour and a half between landing and the first session: passport control, luggage, coach, coffee. A flight landing at 11:00 pushes the first session to 14:00.

Booking late. In high season, March to May and September to November, seminar hotels and morning flights fill up early. Six months ahead is comfortable; under three months the choice narrows.
